Who is Omuhle Gela?
Omuhle trained at AFDA film school and has played Busi on Muvhango, Andile on Umlilo and Lerato on The Imposter, Sunday World reported. In 2022 she joined Uzalo as Nomaswazi, a character she described to Drum as “like a chameleon… very unpredictable. She’s feisty and well educated.”

How a glam appointment usually runs
- The brief. You share the occasion, your outfit and a few reference images. Is it a daytime launch, an evening event or a shoot? Each calls for a different finish.
- Skin prep. Makeup starts with clean, hydrated skin so the base sits well and lasts.
- Hair. If you wear a wig, it is installed or refreshed and styled; if it is your own hair, it is washed or styled to the plan.
- Makeup and lashes. Built to suit your features and the lighting you will be in.
- Final check. Hair and makeup are looked at together, in good light and on camera, before you leave.
These steps are a general guide. Every booking is shaped around the client.
How to book glam for your own event
- Book early. Weekends around big events can fill up quickly. Reserve your slot on Fresha as soon as you have a date, and see current prices there.
- Install the day before. If you are wearing a new unit, a separate install appointment a day or two ahead keeps glam day calm.
- Bring references. Photos of looks you love, and ones you do not, help us more than any description.
- Tell us about the camera. If a photographer or videographer will be there, say so, so we can plan for flash and close-ups.

- Choose a style that can move. Soft curls or a sleek finish set properly at the start hold better than a look that needs constant fixing.
